Monterey Bay Aquarium

This study is from a day spent in the aviary at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I did a cross-species comparison between two shorebirds, a Willet and Marbled Godwit. The Willet who is now 28 years old, is the oldest of her species recorded in captivity. The aviary recreates the environment of a coastal shoreline and all birds are rescues, treated for injuries that prohibit them from surviving in the wild.
